Adam de Heseleye, vicar of Lincoln, asks for confirmation that he will be paid 40s. for a chantry set up by Edward II at Lincoln for himself, his queen, his eldest son and all his ancestors and heirs, and the arrears of that chantry.

In the first line of this petition, 'Le roi qore est' seems to have been deleted and replaced with '[le roi de] Engleterre son piere', suggesting that this petition was originally to be presented to Edward II, and then hastily altered. It would therefore seem to date from 1327.
