John de Horneby, Robert de Culwenn and Joan his wife state that William de Herle and his companions, in a lawsuit concerning tenements in Garstang, between William de Tweng, demandant, and John de Rigmaydoun, who held for term of life of the right of the petitioners, have refused to consider their evidence for their rights in these tenements, and have awarded them to William, when John de Rigmaydoun deliberately defaulted to give William the tenements. They request the council's aid, that they might not be disinherited.
Nature of endorsement
He is to go to William de Herle and his companions, and he will have a bill, and if he wants to say that there is an error there, he is to sue to have the record brought before the king.
