Nature of request
Roger de Horsley requests a writ to the Treasurer and Chamberlains of the Exchequer to give him an allowance for various bills of Edward II's Wardrobe, and for debts owed him from the account of William de Melton, formerly Keeper of the late king's Wardrobe, in the debts he owes the king.
Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer are to be ordered that, when they have seen the bills he has, they are to make allowance for what is due to him in the debts he owes the king from the arrears of his account.

CCR 1333-7 p.260 is dated at Westminster, 26 September 1334, and would appear to be in response to this petition - although it would seem to suggest that the king owes Roger de Horsley rather more than he owes the king, whereas the petition suggests the reverse.
