Nature of request
The Abbot and convent of Holmcoltran ask to be pardoned the 20 marks they owe the king for provisions bought from him during the last Scottish war, when the Scots were raiding and destroying in those parts before the battle of Berwick, as they are very poor on account of war damage.
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege et magno consilio.They are to have respite until next Michaelmas, and in the meantime they are to sue to the king to have grace.
