Nature of request
Letters patent of Edward III to Robert de Coigners, Thomas de Shefeld and Thomas Mauneby, stating that Walter de Hemelsey and Alice Arundel have petitioned parliament asking for a remedy in the matter of the lands demised by Adam Arundel to the Master and brothers of the Order of the Temple in England for thirty-one years, as the term of this lease has expired, and the lands are in the king's hand by reason of the dissolution of the order, and asking them, or two of them, to hold an inquiry into this matter and its attendant circumstances.
