Amice de Houwe makes four complaints:1) She states that Walter atte Wyke disseised her of her free tenement in the parish of Ringmer, but is so rich and powerful that she can have no justice. She requests a remedy.2) She also complains about Thomas Agneys, who took her cow and has held it for fourteen years, and also withheld the issues she should have received from that cow in that time. She has spent all her money in impleading him but has had no justice, and requests the return of the cow and the issues.3) She also complains about William, son of Lucy Anger, who has taken a horse and a cow and held them for four years, and requests a remedy.4) She also complains about Peronelle, widow of Ralph Chaundeler, who by her false suit and the maintenance and abetment of Augustine Waleys, Thomas de Cavendisch, Peter Chate of London and Maud his wife, and Robert de Brideport had her imprisoned in the Marshalsea because she would not make her an acquittance for 100 s. which she was condemned to pay her at St Martin the Great before Richard de Wyleby. She requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
If she has been disseised of her free tenement she is to have a writ of novel disseisin; if a trespass has been committed against her, she is to have a writ of trespass.
