Nature of request
John de la Hethe states that he had empleaded Edmund, late Earl of Arundel in the King's Bench for ten years and more by a writ of entry founded on novel disseisin concerning the manor of Heath, of which John Fith Aleyn the elder disseised his father, and that this plea was discontinued through the Earl's deception. Roger de Mortimer has now seized the manor into the king's hand as warden, as he says. John requests grace and a remedy.
