Laurence de Hastynges, who is under age and in the king's wardship, states that one David de Barry has brought various writs of the king's Chancery of oyer and terminer, concerning various trespasses committed in Pembrokeshire, which is a county palatine and part of Lawrence's inheritance, where no writ of the king should run, but rather writs of the Chancery of the county. He asks for the writs to be repealed, so that he is not disinherited.

CCR 1330-3 pp.405-6 is dated at Clarendon, 3 December 1331, and appears to be part of this same dispute about jurisdiction.CPR 1330-4 p.199 is apparently the commission which started the dispute, and is dated at Lincoln, 20 July 1331.Further references are given by Petitions Relating to Wales, p.72.
