Nature of request
Haiworth requests that justice be done to her for Fitz Renaud murdered her husband wrongfully and without reason. Fitz Renaud with the sheriff without any proven cause procured to have her husband imprisoned against the law of the land. Fitz Renaud claimed that her husband had committed a robbery in his land of Blaenllyfni requiring him to answer in his court there, but her husband was unable to answer without his ordinary as law demanded. The sheriff having no regard for the Church, and for gifts made to him by Fitz Renaud delivered him to him although he was his mortal enemeny. Fitz Renaud proceeded to hang him and left him for a night. Finding him still alive the next morning he mutilated him, and finding him still alive the following day further mutilated him until he died.
