Nature of request
The petitioners request that the king will have regard for their estate and that they will serve him at his will since they were granted £20 of land each for their sustenance, from which they have been ousted and have nothing but their service because of the Scottish war.
Nature of endorsement
Let them do some good service to the lord king for which the lord king ought to do something for them and the lord king will reward their service and thereupon the lord king has enjoined his lieutenant in Scotland and the chamberlain of the same that they see what provision can be made for them and they are to inform the lord king accordingly.
