Nature of request
Godsalm requests remedy as his land was seized for a debt that he owed to Hagim by writ of the king according to the usage of Jewry. Hagim leased it to Audley who in turn leased it to Laurence Brock by whom it descended to Hugh de Brock who now holds it. More than the debt has been received from the land.

Before the justices assigned to the custody of the Jews.In Chancery.He should explain whether he had his land as of fee or as of gage.

The petition seems to date to the parliament held in Michaelmas 1290 from a Latin summary printed in the roll for that parliament. However although the summary seems to be that of this petition the response is not the same (Rot. Parl. Vol. I, p. 46 and 47a (no.21)).
