Nature of request
The abbess requests remedy. The king's ancestors granted a vaccary and pastures to them in Panshill but Despenser by colour of his office seized them into the king's hand without cause, and extended it at little value, delivering it to Handlo, his sub-keeper by an arentment made in the Exchequer, holding it at the king's will, of which several pasture called Lachemede her predecessor was wrongfully ejected from in the times of King Edward the father.

The date is uncertain, the guard making it c. 1315 but on the basis of an unconnected grant of land to John de Handlo which included land in the king's wood at Paunshale (CFR 1307-19, p.229).
