Nature of request
The petitioners request remedy. They have bought wool in Northumberland and after paying the customs shipped the wool to Aardenburgh where it was arrested by Courtreye and others because the king ordered his mariners of Sandwich in a boat called la Plente and a barge to keep the Scottish sea to prevent ships entering to aid the enemy, and captured a a boat of Flanders off Aberdeen taking it to Berwick and selling the wool. Courtrey and the others claimed the wool that they arrested was bought of this wool sold at Berwick to the great damage of the petitioners.
