Nature of request
The petitioners request that a remedy be ordained to them that they be able to sue their right as they have obtained it, and that they not be attached by any false indictments by suspicion alone and thus by false inquisition many poor people of the community of the county who wish to sue their right are indicted and falsely imprisoned and unable to sue to the disinheritance of them and the king. They had purchased writs against certain people of trespass concerning pleas of land by which they recovered their land before the justices of the Bench, and those from whom they recovered their lands have procured false indictments by their great gifts given to the sheriffs, sub-sheriffs and bailiffs in the county so that they are not able to have their land nor able to have their right.
Nature of endorsement
If they have not had execution of the judgement rendered in the Bench they should sue there and . . .; and if they feel aggrieved against any person they should sue in Chancery, and there have their recovery.
