Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated by Rees, Ancient Petitions Relating to Wales (p. 68) to 1305-6, on the basis of the original charter being granted on 24 February 1306, but that a commission of enquiry had already been established from this petition by that time. The guard note says?c.1327, on the basis of the confirmation issued in CChR 1327-31, p.76, and the handwriting would seem more consistent with this later date.
