Nature of request
The petitioners request that the king's ministers be ordered to allow the two monks that the abbey finds to sing for the souls of the king and his ancestors at his free chapel of St Briavels to have what housebote and haybote in the Forest of Dean as the profits of the chapel are not sufficient to maintain them.
