Graunsun requests remedy for himself and for the bailiff of Guernsey concerning their excommunication by the bishop and his ordinaries made because of the churches which were given by the king and his ministers in the Isles after the war, those who had previously held them having withdrawn from the Isles into France during the war.

The petition probably dates to 1305 or 1309 for the king addressed writs to the bishop of Coutances concerning his attempts to cite the people of the islands outside of the islands (CCR 1302-7, p.327; CCR 1307-13 p.149).
