Nature of request
Gyse requests remedy and a writ to the justices that notwithstanding orders sent or to be sent by the king to delay common right that they proceed to take the assize of novel disseisine concerning his manor of Bloxham according to the law and usages of the realm. Gyse had been disseised by Santemareys but his assize had been delayed by several contradictory testimonies and by writs under unknown seals.
Nature of endorsement
Because the taking of the assize was long delayed by many orders to the justices of the king, to the petitioners disinheritance. The king does not wish the justices afterwards to delay. Therefore it is ordered to the justices by a writ of Chancery to proceed quickly to take the assize.

Note
The petition must date to 1316 or slightly earlier for Santemareys and another were pardoned what they owed the king for the trespass for the disseisin against Gyse and his wife. However he is then in prison and it is ordered that he is not to be released until Gyse and his wife had been satisfied (CPR 1313-17, p.545).
