Name(s)
de Glemesford (Glemsford), Hugh

King
Nature of request
Glemesford requests a remedy concerning ten acres of meadow which Clopton ordered Parker to seize for the use of the earl of Stafford though he does not know the earl or anyone of his council, and without cause, by which Glemesford dare not enter the meadow because of Clopton's maintenance to his loss. Clopton had maintained Alice de Wytnesham in an assize of novel disseisin and by conspiracy for a long time. Glemesford could not have peace until the Greys and others intervened and put the case in arbitration where it was found that Wytnesham had no title or right. Clopton did not wish to cease the suit or maintenance until he and the other were satisfied, and Glemesford made a fine in 25 marks, Clopton taking £10 for which he wished Glemesford to grant 300 acres of pasture for 3 years, by which he and other ceased their maintenance.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue at the common law.
