Nature of request
The petitioner seeks the king's aid concerning his complaint that in the time of the king's father, Despenser, Baldok and others, entered into a fine of 200 marks for his marriage and the custody of his lands until the time that he came of age. Now he has been declared of age in the king's court and so the fine is cancelled, but already by the hands of the officers of Queen Isabella, 20 marks has been removed from the aforesaid 200 marks for the sum paid to the queen consort.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram Rege et magno consilio.2) Let an order be made to the treasurers and barons of the exchequer to view the fine and account of the proceedings by which the fine was annulled after he came of age ... such that the petitioner has no debt.
