The petitioner states that the first twenty-four persons above by false alliance and conspiracy went to Newenden and procured Curtehose to accuse the petitioner of the re-disseisin of a sixth part of a messuage there, which in the absence of the petitioner was considered sufficient testimony. The petitioner was not sufficiently warned of the assize and was condemned in £80 damages and taken into Newgate Prison until his judgement before Scrope and his fellow justices and suffered damages of £100. The petitioner seeks from the king the appointment of Beaufitz, Grandison and Malemeyns, with the power to investigate the conspiracy against the petitioner.
