- The petitioners state that a proposal has come to the king from Burgh that he should unjustly grant to Burgh for the purpose of enclosure forty acres of waste in the forest, near to the undergrowth (covert) of the forest and the principal place of the king's salmon. And if the grant was allowed the king's forest would be destroyed to the damage of the king and the disinheritance of the people of the forest. The petitioners seek a remedy from the king.1)
