1) The petitioner shows that she was the wife of Roger Gacelyn, who died in the king's prison at York, and that William Gacelyn granted a messuage and carucate of land in Esthenreth to Roger and the petitioner and their heirs, and if there were no heirs then the lands were to pass to William de Arches and his heirs, which lands are now in the king's hands. The petitioner asks the king to order the release to her of the said lands.2) The petitioner shows that she was the wife of Roger Gacelyn, who died in the king's prison at York, and that Richard Turburville granted a messuage and carucate of land in Acton Turville to William Arches and Amice (the petitioner) his wife and their heirs, which lands are now in the king's hands by reason of the said Roger. The petitioner asks the king to order the release to her of the said lands.
