1) The petitioner shows that he has been summoned to justify his right to five acres of land with appurtenances in Satherton before Sir Hugh de Cressingham in the Eyre, against Boteler and his wife. The petitioner states that the rights of the Abbey were confirmed by the king after an earlier inquest before justices in Eyre during the time of his predecessor, Abbot William. The petitioner seeks confirmation from the king of the result of the earlier inquest.2) Copy of the result of the previous inquest held before Cressingham at the behest of Abbot William at the sheriff's tourn in the county of Lancaster.
