Nature of request
Peter Favelore states that he granted to Thomas Beauchamp, knight, of Bedfordshire, two thirds of the manor of Newton in Suffolk, reserving the advowson of the church and the third part of the manor, which Alice, widow of Gregory Favelore, holds in dower, to hold for forty-nine years from Michaelmas in the king's forty-sixth year; and various measures were agreed for the security of this agreement, to which, now that he is in possession and has security, Thomas refuses to put his seal. Peter requests a remedy.

CCR 1369-74 p.538 is dated at London, 20 August 46 Edward III (1372). The memorandum of the acknowledgement of this by the parties is dated 18 February 1373. The petition presumably dates from around this time.
