Nature of request
John de la Felde of Dunsfold makes three complaints against Henry de Guldeford, requesting a remedy.1) He states that with the assistance of John's stepfather Geoffrey, and by threatening him with bastardy, Henry forced him to enfeoff him with various tenements, although he was under age and of little understanding, which Henry then granted back to him for term of life. Henry had agreed to pay him a lump sum and an annual rent for this, but since he has had seisin he has paid nothing, and threatened him when he has approached him on this matter.2) He states that Henry took various animals of his against his will.3) He states that Henry broke into his house after the feast of St John a year ago, against the peace of God and of the king.

Dated on the guard to c. 1290, with reference to the endorsement and to a complaint against a clerk of Solomon of Rochester. The beaver-tail S on Solomon would suggest that it cannot be much later.
