de Fishbourne, Thomas

King
Nature of request
Thomas de Fishbourne requests the king's grace in the matter of 8 marks' worth of rent in Ednam near Roxburgh, which were given to him by John Balliol, shortly after he did homage to Edward I at Newcastle upon Tyne, in compensation for a debt he owed him. He received this rent peacefully for three and a half years, until war broke out; but then, when the king was going to Flanders, he granted Thomas a writ for recovery of the rent. However, before he could recover it, the Scots rebelled, and he has not been able to use it or to receive the rent since. He asks the king to command his Chancellor of Scotland to issue a writ for the rent as before.
Nature of endorsement
Because the Chancellor of Scotland was previously ordered to let him have seisin of those tenements, orders are to be given as before.
