- James Fynaunce, born at Metz in the Duchy of Lorraine, who has lived in England for twenty years and intends to live there for the rest of his life, asks that he and his heirs might become denizens.

(It is to be delivered to the lords).[On dorse] It is to be done as he requests: provided that the same James does liege homage to the king, and pays and contributes the customs, subsidies and other dues owed to the king for his merchandise as a foreigner, notwithstanding the present grant.
