Nature of request
The executors of Henry de Neuwerk, Archbishop of York, request a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, ordering them to render a final account of the debts they owe the king for the dead man and the debts that he owes them, and that they might have an allowance for the debts the king owes them in the debts which they owe him. And if the king owes them anything after this account has been made, they ask that the Treasurer and Barons of the exchequer might make satisfaction to them for this when they conveniently can, so that the will can be carried out.

A writ of Chancery is to be issued on this, according to the form of the petition.

CCR 1296-1302 p.546 is dated at Westminster, 2 August 1302, and is clearly in response to this petition.Henry de Neuwerk died on 15 August 1299.
