Note
This petition is likely to date from shortly after the rebellion of 1322.There is a reference on the guard to CFR 1319-27 pp.117-118, the commitment to John de Kilvynton of the keeping of the castles and lands of the rebels between Tees and Ouse, except the castle of Pickering, and order to the Sheriff of Yorkshire to deliver them to him, dated at Pontefract, 24 March 1322: but although the petition is badly damaged, it is hard to see how this is relevant.
