Nature of request
Lucy, widow of Robert de Everyngham, states that after the death of Robert de Clifford, the manor of Hart, in the franchise of the Bishop of Durham, which is held of her by knight service, was taken into the king's hand because of the minority of the heir, and later delivered to Richard de Kellou, then Bishop of Durham, because of the franchise. Lucy sued a writ of chancery to have the wardship of the manor from him, but before he could deliver it, it was taken back into the king's hand. Lucy therefore asks that seisin of the wardship be delivered to her.
