[Part of the left hand side of the petition is missing.]Adam, son of William de Elynegham, states that he is being held in Bamburgh castle on accusations of planning to betray the king's people in Northumberland. He asks that he might be brought to Newcastle or elsewhere at the king's pleasure, so that he might have his deliverance and clear himself of this treason.
