Nature of request
The prior states that Little Lamberton is in the king's hand by the forfeiture of Lindsey. Lindsey held the vill as a parcel of the barony of Coldingham for service. The prior requests that a writ be sent to the chamberlain of Berwick to pay the prior the annual service together with the arrears for the time that it has been in the king's hand.

Note
The petition must date to shortly after 1363 when the inquisition into the matter as a result of an earlier petition on the same matter found that the facts were as they are stated to be in this petition (CIM 1348-1377, no.518). It is unlikely that the matter would have been allowed to rest by the prior once a favourable inquisition had been taken.
