Nature of request
The petitioners request that the arrears of the rent which the king's grandfather granted them be allowed against the sum that they owe to the king for money received for victuals sold to the people of Northumberland and of the liberty of Durham.
Nature of endorsement
They should sue before the king.
Places mentioned

Note
The petition dates to 1331 or shortly after. There is more than one petition on this matter and this petition refers to a request presented at a parliament in the 5th year of Edward III (1331). There was only one parliament held in 1331, and this was held in September at Westminster. If the close roll reference was in response to this first request, then this petition may be a little later.
