Note (Additional information about the record)
- As Bishop Hatfield was only consecrated on 7 August 1345, and the king was ordering the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to examine their records concerning Crayke on 14 February 1346, the petition must date to between these two dates (CCR 1346-9, p.3). If this was a parliamentary petition it was presumably presented at the parliament which met at Westminster on 3 February 1346.
