Note
A note on the guard assigns this petition to '? c. 1324' on the ground that all three commissioners appear at about this date, but not together. However the reference it gives, CPR 1321-4 p.449 (dated at Westminster, 25 March 1324) mentions only two of them. The third, John Malemeyns of Hoo, is probably not the John Malemayns of Walwersshare, adherent of the rebels and prisoner in Rochester castle who is mentioned in CPR 1321-4 pp.115 and 184 (May and July 1322), and p.349 (November 1323) and whose pardon (Nottingham, 20 November 1323) is found in CPR 1321-4 p.350 - but if he is, that would further limit the date.
