- The bishop requests that the king grant him leave to give a church, lands and tenements to the value of £30 to found a chantry of six poor chaplains to pray for the ancestors of the king and of the bishop and for all Christians.1)
- Nature of endorsement
- Coram rege et magno consilio.2) Let him come before the chancellor and the treasurer and make a fine.3) It pleases the king, for a fine. 0-34, p.238).

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition probably dates to c. 1332 as a licence was issued to Bishop Henry to grant rents to 6 chaplains on 27 January 1332. It seems that the licence requested in the petition is a little earlier than this licence (CPR 1330-34, p.238).
