Nature of request
Dardani requests that a remedy be ordained for him that he be able to take possession of the archdeaconry of Norwich by virtue of his bulls, or grant licence that he be able to pursue the executors of the provision and his bulls with the pope against Middleton by law Christian and Holy Church notwithstanding certain statutes or ordinances made by the provisors. Dardani was preferred to the archdeaconry by the pope, but he has been unable to take possession because of the statute of the provisors because of his illness, and is unable to pursue execution, Middelton having been intruded into the archdeaconry by colour of the statute.
Nature of endorsement
The king with the assent of the prelates and lords in parliament has granted a licence to the petitioner to pursue his right that he has to the archdeaconry of Norwich by force of his provision and to take corporal possession in this, and that his executors are able to make execution of his bills according to the purport of this, notwithstanding certain statutes or ordinances made by the provisors.
