Nature of request
Cystrewast requests remedy and that the sheriff of Buckinghamshire or the keepers of the land of Simon de Bereford enquire into the enclosure of an acre and a half of Cystrewast land made by Bereford by force and his lordship within his park of Chenies, which is now in the hand of the king because of the evil committed by Bereford,
Nature of endorsement
If the land of which the petition makes mention is in the hand of the king, let certain men be assigned to enquire if the petition is truthful or not, and of other necessary things, and when the petition has been returned into Chancery let justice be done; and if the land is in the hand of others, he should have a writ at the common law.
