Nature of request
Copy of a writ of Edward II to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer stating that the abbot had complained by his petition before the king and council that he did not hold by barony, but that he had been amerced as such. They are ordered to call the justices before them if necessary and examine the book of fees and other memoranda and if they are able to show that the abbot does not hold by barony they are to amend the error and release the abbot from the amercement.
