Cromwell requests that he be restored to the manors of Ampthill and Millbrook, with their churches and other lands of which he and his feoffees have been disseised by the Duke of Exeter. He had purchased the manors and lands from the feoffees of Lord Fanhope.

Note
The petition is likely to date to 1444 as Cromwell's feoffees with the addition of the bishop of Lincoln were confirmed in their estate in the same lands on 21 May 1444 (CPR 1441-6, pp.267-8). This was presumably as a result of the resolution of the dispute between the Duke of Exeter and Cromwell.
