The petition dates to c. 1362. A commission to Fyncheden, Wychyngham and Robert de Naylynghurst to make inquiry into the various trespasses of Bradenham including the issue of the fishery was made on 3 July 1362. It is not clear whether this petition marks a further stage on from this commission or initiated further inquisitions. However, the petition is unlikely to that far removed from the commission (CPR 1361-4, p.283)
