- The petitioners show that whereas the king impleaded their ancestors for their tenement in Bamburgh in his thirtieth years and alleged that the lands owed the service of keeping the gate of his castle of Bamburgh. However before an inquisition could be held on this the escheator north of the Trent on his own authority seized the land into the king's hand. They request grace and remedy by a writ of inquest or in another manner as the king will wish to ordain.
