Nature of request
1) Claryng complains of Bousser by his power and that of Despenser and because he was the king's justice arrested and wrongly imprisoned him until he had made a great ransom of £10 by the mainprise of Bocking and other. He requests remedy.2) He further complains of Bousser that he and his pledges were bound to Bousser in £4 for four quarters of wheat, and by his power took the beasts of Claryng and his pledges until they made satisfaction for the £10 and more to their great damage, against the law and as an adherent of Despenser.3) When Claryng was in the war in Wales in pursuit of Despenser by the assignement of Edward III Bousser, Thristilden and their mainprisers came to his close and drove away his beasts until they heard of Despenser's capture abandoned the beasts to Claryng's great damage. He requests remedy.4) He also complains that he and his wife are bound to Bousser in 100s. which is wrongly imposed on them and they are required to pay 20s per annum. He requests remedy.

Note
The petition must date to 1327 or shortly thereafter as the petition clearly dates to the reign of Edward III as the petition makes mention. Also one of the complaints made in the petition refers to the pursuit and capture of Despenser in Wales so clearly dating this to after 1326.
