At the day assigned for the execution of the judgement to be performed there came the men of Balderton by force and arms into Lincolnshire and disturbed the execution and forced the jurors to depart in contempt of the king. The petitioners request that a remedy be ordained that such punishments will pass as an example to others.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition probably dated to c. 1324 as it is likely to post date the commission issued on 1 September to examine the matter (CPR 1324-7, p.70).There is an earlier commission in 1316, but because the petition is endorsed in Anglo-Norman, it is very likely that the petition is after 1322 when this become common (CPR 1313-17, p.430).
