Nature of request
Clayton shows that she and her husband were given the vill of Osmanthorpe. Afterwards Thomas de Clayton who is now dead wished to enfeoff Tony, but he could not enter because of the Templars who were chief lords. Afterwards the earl of Lancaster claimed the lands as his escheat, and they are now in the king's hand by the earl's forfeiture. Clayton requests a remedy.
