- Choffyn states that they came to Teignmouth and unloaded their goods when men assigned by commission of the king [thinking them to be?] aliens came and arrested their boat and delivered it to the keeping of the bailiff and burgesses of . . . He requests that . . . will deliver . . . by writ or by letter of the king by which Choffyn and his companions are able to have remedy.
