The matter has been brought before the Bench and Chatherton has been charged of his goods and chattels and it has been ordered to the sheriff of Lancashire to levy it. He requests that the king ordain at remedy that his goods are not taken for this false indictment against law and reason.

Let a writ be sent to John de Cavendish to consider and examine the indictment and the record, and if there is an error or default. And if it is found then he is to make an indictment, and if it is found that the coroners have made their inquests in error the said Henry is to be discharged according to the law and usage of the land.
