- Chamberleyn states that he pays his farm of the county, but he is unable to have all the things that contribute to the profits of the office. The barons of the Exchequer have charged him and wish to have the farm from him by distress so that he requests that he be discharged and a suitable remedy be ordained.
- Nature of endorsement
- Let it be ordered to the treasurer and barons that they summon the sheriff before them to hear his complaint, and inform themselves by the remembrances of the Exchequer and in all other manners where the matter contained in the petition is one of the causes for which the farm is so high, and also enquire of what damage has accrued to the sheriff by the granting of liberties, and inform the king.Coram domino rege.
