Chaumberlayn states that his wages are in arrears for his long service in the king's wars in Gascony. He requests that the king order his constable of Bordeaux to pay him.

Let it be ordered to the constable of Bordeaux that he search his accounts, and if it is found that the wages are due to him he is to pay him as quickly as possible.

The petition dates to c. 1328. The petition seems to be of Edward III's reign, and Ingham had been replaced by John de Haustede on 15 September 1328. The petition is likely to be shortly after this (CPR 1327-30, p.319).
